Drone Footage of Detroit DDOT Bus Terminal Fire

Description

A drone captured footage of a massive fire raging at a facility of the Detroit Department of Transportation on the city's east side on Friday. The blaze began at around 1:30 AM local time and has since been contained. According to the DDOT, the blaze began when a fire started in an engine of one of the buses parked in the garage. Several explosions were heard by eyewitnesses emanating from the bus terminal. The blaze has reportedly inflicted significant damage to the terminal and nearby structures. City services allegedly said that four of the terminal's bays have collapsed. Between six and ten buses have been damaged. Firefighters were dispatched to the scene and battled the blaze for about 90 minutes before bringing it under control. DDOT has claimed that the resulting damages from the fire will affect bus transport on Friday, saying that some routes will experience delays. An investigation is underway into the cause of the engine fire which started the blaze.
