LG Unveils Robot Personal Assistant and Selfie-Taking Fridge

Tech giant LG unveiled the Hub Robot, a home robot that will help users with everything from household chores to catching flights on time at the Consumer Electronics Show 2017 in Las Vegas on Wednesday. The brand-new Hub Robot acts as a personal assistant for the home. It can respond to voice commands and even connect and control smart household appliances, including the oven, washing machine or vacuum cleaner. They also unveiled the Airbot, which helps navigate users through airports to the correct terminal and provide up-to-date travel information on its display. LG also revealed an OLED TV called "picture on the wall" that's just a tenth of inch thick and which is attached to the wall with magnetic brackets. The South Korean company also launched a smart fridge called the InstaView Door-in-Door, in collaboration with Amazon. The fridge can take a 'selfie' of its contents and send the photo straight to the user's mobile Working by voice command, the fridge can also order food online, set kitchen timers and search for recipes.
