Timoleon Jimenez, the leader of Colombian rebel group FARC, announced a ceasefire in Havana on Sunday after reaching an agreement with the Colombian government, ending one of the longest running and deadliest wars in the world, which has already left over 300,000 people dead.
The Colombian government has canceled peace talks in Cuba with leftist FARC guerillas, following the surprise kidnapping of a senior army general. Gavino Garay reports.

South Sudan's government and rebel groups have signed a landmark peace deal aimed at ending decades of war in which hundreds of thousands have died.
