It has only been a few weeks since the first photos of the all-new BMW X2 went around the world: Now, it is rolling off the assembly line at BMW Group Plant Regensburg. From now on, different types of drive train will be flexibly manufactured in Regensburg on a single production line – from models with internal combustion engines, to plug-in hybrids, to fully-electric vehicles. Up to 1,000 BMW 1 Series, BMW X1 and BMW X2 models are currently coming off the production line at BMW Group Plant Regensburg every workday – destined for customers worldwide.Lean, green, digital: With BMW iFACTORY, the BMW Group is also setting standards and redefining the future of automotive production at the Regensburg location. For example, BMW Group Plant Regensburg is the automotive industry's first plant worldwide to use an end-to-end digitalised and automated process for inspection, processing and marking of painted vehicle surfaces in standard production that relies on robots controlled by AI (artificial intelligence). For the plant, this represents another step towards the digital, intelligently connected factory.

The smart #1 is the first of a new breed of intelligent vehicles: people experience a new kind of mobility as soon as they get into the car. smart started the first EV test program 15 years ago and has been fully electric since 2020. smart combines this pronounced e-mobility know-how with the style-defining premium design from Mercedes-Benz and the pioneering engineering performance and SEA platform from Geely. smart already offers next-generation mobility today.A characteristic of the new smart #1 Lines is their customer-centric equipment: the equipment variants are ideally suited to the different needs and lifestyles of the customers. In addition to the attractively equipped Launch Edition, which was presented at the world premiere at the beginning of the year, the smart #1 will soon also be available in the Pro+ , the Premium and the BRABUS variants.

Er kombiniert die Proportionen eines modernen Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) mit einem außergewöhnlich luxuriösen Raumkomfort im Interieur. Mit dem BMW i4 erreicht die rein elektrische Mobilität das Premium-Segment der Mittelklasse und damit den Kern der Marke BMW. Das sportlich-elegante Gran Coupé verkörpert lokal emissionsfreie Fahrfreude in einer besonders dynamischen Ausprägung. Für ein besonderes Performance-Erlebnis sorgt dabei das erste BMW M Automobil mit elektrifiziertem Antrieb, der BMW i4 M50.Der BMW iX wird im BMW Group Werk Dingolfing produziert, der BMW i4 entsteht im BMW Group Werk München. Beide Modelle kommen von November 2021 an auf den Markt, der BMW i4 damit rund drei Monate früher als ursprünglich vorgesehen.

At market launch – which will get underway at the end of 2021 – customers will be able to choose from two model variants: the BMW iX xDrive50 and BMW iX xDrive40.The BMW iX redefines the successful Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) concept. It is the first model based on a new, modular, scalable toolkit on which the future of the BMW Group will be built. The development and production of the BMW iX follow an all-encompassing approach to sustainability involving compliance with strict environmental and social standards in the extraction of raw materials, plus the use of electricity from renewable sources and a high proportion of recycled materials in the mix.
