Police respond to an incident in which a car crashed into barriers outside Britain's Houses of Parliament, injuring several people. British counter-terror police will lead the investigation into the incident.

Mark Rowley, Metropolitan Police's senior anti-terror officer, announced that six addresses were raided and seven people arrested in connection to yesterday’s Houses of Parliament attack, during an address to press outside New Scotland Yard on Thursday. A total of 4 people were killed and at least 29 injured when an attacker drove a car into a crowd of people on Westminster Bridge. The assailant then stabbed a police officer at the entrance to the Houses of Parliament before being shot dead by police.
Leaving his house in London on Friday morning the newly appointed British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson condemned the fatal attacks in Nice on Thursday as "an absolutely appalling incident." Johnson added that he would be looking into any implications of the attack for the UK. A truck was driven into the Bastille Day crowds killing at least 84 on Thursday evening. The driver, a French citizen of Tunisian origin, was shot and killed by security forces at the scene. French President Francois Hollande has extended the State of Emergency.
