Find Your Inner Ninja at the Dizzying Heights of Japan's ‘Muscle Monster’ Park

Description

Calling all daredevils and thrill seekers! This huge, multi-story structure is called the 'Muscle Monster' and it can be found at the Sagamiko Resort Pleasure Forest, located in Japan's Kanagawa prefecture. The Muscle Monster is the largest climbing attraction and obstacle course in Asia and it welcomed climbers to scale its heights for the first time on Saturday. Built on a mountain top, 'Muscle Monster' is a hexagonal colosseum of climbing nets and structures, with 92 activities for its visitors to choose from. Those who can defy all three hierarchical athletic areas are rewarded with a spectacular 360 degree view from a rooftop observatory. Climbers are connected to safety lines, which extend through out the course, via carabiners at all times, so falling isn't really much of a big deal. In fact, climbers at the Muscle Monster fall all the time. Participants must be over 4 feet tall and weigh no more than 264 pounds if they want to practice their ninja skills at the park. Adventure parks, as obstacle courses like Muscle Monster are commonly known, first started being developed a few decades ago and have since taken off in popularity across the world, especially in Europe and Asia. Muscle Monster and other similar parks offer an excellent way to maintain fitness while having a good time with family or friends, and they can help you get over that lingering fear of heights... Don't look down!
