According to media reports, 30 people, including the gunman, were killed and 58 wounded after 32-year-old Thai soldier Jakraphanth Thomma went on a shooting rampage with assault rifles on 08 February in the city of Nakhon Ratchasima, also known as Korat. Jakraphanth held an unknown number of people hostage inside the shopping mall for around 15 hours before being shot and killed in a police operation on 09 February.
