UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres expresses serious concern over reports that Israel is using artificial intelligence to identify targets in Gaza. Guterres tells reporters that he is "deeply troubled by reports that the Israeli military's bombing campaign includes Artificial Intelligence as a tool in the identification of targets, particularly in densely populated residential areas, resulting in a high level of civilian casualties." The United States says it has seen some improvement by Israel in narrowing targets in its Gaza offensive as it renews a call on its ally to spare civilians. "We've seen a much more targeted request for evacuations" than in the earlier campaign in the north, US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller tells reporters.
