Coronavirus fatalities surge in Iran

Tehran, Feb 24 (EFE).- (Camera: Marina Villén) Iran has been plunged into isolation as authorities grapple with an outbreak of coronavirus that has killed 50 people in the city of Qom alone. Neighbouring countries Pakistan, Afghanistan, Turkey, Iraq and Armenia have closed their borders in a bid to contain the virus.Qom lawmaker Ahmad Amirabadi Farahani said 250 people had been placed in quarantine in the city, according to the ILNA news agency.FOOTAGE OF TEHRAN AND PEOPLE WEARING MASKS.
