Bangkok, Mar 31 (EFE/EPA).-Thai Buddhist monks from Wat Matchantikaram temple in Bangkok have produced their own face shields in an attept to protect themselves from coronavirus during morning alms."Morning Alms" or Tak Bat is a tradition that goes back many centuries in Thailand, in which each morning, Buddhists provide food to monks as a way to make merit because monks cannot buy food for themselves.The number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 rose to 1,524 on Tuesday, with nine relataed deaths.(Camera: RUNGROJ YONGRIT).FOOTAGE SHOWS BUDDHIST MONKS COLLECTING MORNING ALMS WITH FACE SHIELDS IN BANGKOK, THAILAND.
