India partially lifts drug export ban on Trump call

Mumbai, Apr 7 (EFE/EPA).- India on Tuesday said it would allow pharmaceutical companies to export hydroxychloroquine after American President Donald Trump warned of retaliation if the generic anti-malaria drug was not supplied to the United States as a possible treatment for COVID-19.India’s foreign ministry spokesperson Anurag Srivastava said exports of hydroxychloroquine and paracetamol would be allowed depending on the stock position after meeting domestic demands and existing orders in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
