Scientists wonder how the coronavirus pandemic could end as countries ease lockdown measures

Description

As European countries start to ease lockdown measures, scientists have been trying to determine how the coronavirus pandemic will end. FRANCE 24’s Julia Sieger takes a look at different theories doing the rounds. “Trying to end a pandemic is trying to reduce a virus’ basic reproduction number or how many people will get contaminated by an infected person”, she says, adding that this number should be inferior to 1 to consider that the virus is no longer spreading across the population.
