  • Does Wearing A Mask Give You Carbon Dioxide Poisoning?

With no end in sight to the novel coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic in the US, it's no surprise that myths about the virus abound. According to Business Insider, one common myth is that wearing a mask is dangerous because you'll get carbon dioxide poisoning. But epidemiology professor Stephen Morse says any CO2 the wearer exhales passes through the mask, just like oxygen, and doesn't build up.
