  • New innovations for Ferrari Challenge Asia Pacific in 2020

There are two innovations proposed for the 2020 Ferrari Challenge Asia Pacific calendar, with respect to this season which will have its epilogue at Mugello this forthcoming 24-27 October. The first concerns the opening round, which instead of the traditional Melbourne venue, will be hosted by the Bahrain circuit, where, from the 5-7 May, the 488 Challenge teams start the competition which will determine the Trofeo Pirelli Am, Coppa Shell and Coppa Shell Am standings. From the desert dunes the show moves on to the slopes of Mount Fuji, Japan, with the challenge scheduled from 24-26 April, at the first location in the Land of the Rising Sun ever to have hosted the world of Formula 1.The traditional Prancing Horse celebration, Ferrari Racing Days, as usual scheduled in Shanghai, will take place from 5-7 June, which will be followed a month later by the night race in Sepang, Malaysia from 3-5 July. After the summer break, it will be back to the Nipponese island for the second novelty of the calendar with the spectacular Suzuka track hosting the single-marque Ferrari series from 21-23 August. The race to be held on the Singapore street circuit, from 18-20 September, coinciding with the Formula 1 Grand Prix, will be the final Asian stage of the series before the deciding round set to take place at the Finali Mondiali weekend.

  • Sebastian Vettel about getting back on track

Sebastian Vettel about getting back on track - “I was glad to get back in the cockpit after a break that was even longer than the usual winter one. I was also very pleased to see all the guys from the team at last.It was great to once again get those feelings from a car and to do so at such a spectacular track. I really think Mugello deserves to host a Formula 1 Grand Prix.I hadn’t driven it for eight years, so it took a few laps for me to get used to the track and then I really enjoyed myself.”

  • The second phase of the “Back on Track” programme is underway with serological tests for employees’ families

The “Back on Track” programme, introduced by Ferrari to protect the health of its people when production resumes, has now entered its second phase focusing on the families of employees and suppliers operating in-house.In a tensile structure of approximately 1,000m2 specially created at the Fiorano Circuit, doctors and health workers will welcome and give serological tests to thousands of family members living with the approximately 4,000 employees. The tests, which are voluntary, provide an initial picture of the state of health. If further investigations are needed, a pharyngeal swab can be given. This takes just a few minutes and will be performed in a dedicated area of the facility, without the person concerned having to leave their car. With the second step of the project, involving about 18,000 people, diagnostic activities will be extended to the entire “Ferrari Community”.

  • Ferrari F1 - Australian Grand Prix 2024 - Preview

Formula 1 arrives in Australia for what will be the first race this year to be held as usual on a Sunday, after the first two rounds of the season were run on Saturday in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. Australians love their motorsport and Ferrari is particularly popular here, making for a very special atmosphere. The Albert Park circuit is spectacular and everything points to it being an interesting weekend. Carlos Sainz is expected to be back in the car, having had to miss Jeddah with appendicitis and he and team-mate Charles Leclerc will most likely be fighting at the front of the field, as they have done in the first two rounds. The circuit. The Albert Park track made its first appearance on the Formula 1 calendar in 1996. It features plenty of medium to high speed corners, with four DRS zones to provide plenty of excitement. Turn 1 is a quick chicane with walls on one side and a gravel run-off on the other, making it one of the trickiest sections, especially as it is followed by a long straight, before drivers brake heavily for turn 3, a favourite overtaking spot, as it comes at the end of a DRS zone, but mind out, here too there’s a gravel run-off area lying in wait. Turns 9 and 10 are definitely among the quickest corners on the track and overtaking is possible here, although drivers can also opt to stay in the slipstream and then give it their all to pass into turn 11, where overtaking carries a bit less risk.
