Carlingford (Ireland), Nov 12 (EFE), (Camera: Javier Aja).- The small Irish town of Carlingford is proud to celebrate the electoral victory of the future tenant of the White House, Joe Biden, a man whose ancestors left this area of the island in search of a better life in the United States. His genealogical credentials come from the town of Ballina, in County Mayo (northwest) as well as from the picturesque peninsula of Cooley, in County Louth (northeast). More specifically from Whitestown, part of the parish of Carlingford, where since 1845 the Lily Finnegan's Pub, now closed due to the pandemic, and the cemetery where their ancestors, the Finnegan's, rest.
