"We really don't know what the real number is," Fauci said in an interview with The New York Times. "I think the real range is somewhere between 70 to 90 percent. But, I'm not going to say 90 percent." This month, the US Food and Drug Administration authorized both Moderna and Pfizer and BioNTech's coronavirus vaccine for emergency use which have been rolled out across the country.
On Sunday, Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer announced three weeks of new, statewide, social distancing orders. The move comes in response to a 113% surge in cases over the past two weeks across Michigan—bringing the total cases to around 276,000. But Gizmodo reports White House coronavirus task force member Dr. Scott Atlas is urging Michiganders to protest in solidarity with the novel coronavirus. The neuroradiologist has zero experience in public health, infectious diseases, or epidemiology. He's has reportedly earned enmity from other members of the White House task force for pushing unfounded, dangerous theories like 'herd immunity.' He has also lied about the science behind mask-wearing to create the false impression masks are useless against the virus.

Business Insider reports Fauci admitted on CNN's 'State of the Union' that 'we all have to be honest and humble, nobody really knows for sure.' This month, the US Food and Drug Administration authorized both Moderna and Pfizer and BioNTech's coronavirus vaccine for emergency use. Healthcare professionals and frontline workers across the country have been getting vaccinations since the vaccine rollouts.
Dr. Anthony Fauci is in hot water with the White House for speaking out in an interview, published Saturday, about the state of COVID-19 cases in the US. The director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases warned that the US needed to make an 'abrupt change' in its handling of the pandemic. White House spokesperson Judd Deere sternly rebuked Fauci for making 'his political leanings known by praising the president's opponent.' Business Insider reports that for the first time since the outset of the pandemic, the US logged nearly 100,000 new cases of COVID-19 in a single day. President Donald Trump has continued to falsely blame the rise in cases on a rise in testing--and media coverage.
If Joe Biden is elected president, outgoing President Donald Trump is likely to have more days in court than he ever dreamed possible. Lacking his current presidential protections, Trump will face multiple investigations over whether he committed fraud in his businesses--and as an individual. According to CNN, Trump also faces defamation lawsuits sparked by his denials of accusations made by women who have alleged he assaulted them. If Trump wins, he may be able to run out the statute of limitations, which for some crimes in New York state law is five to six years. Or, he could simply continue enjoying the DOJ's Office of Legal Counsel opinion that says a sitting president can't be indicted.
