Pennsylvania Early Focus, Election Day Misinformation

New York (CNN Business) Pennsylvania, which could be critical in determining who wins the presidency, has emerged as an early focus of online misinformation on Election Day, with much of it coming from the right. The most prominent topic being discussed concerns allegations, which are for the most part either unsubstantiated or just plain false, have focused on perceived unfairness toward Republican poll-watchers, with the implication that something untoward may be going on that people don't want the poll-watchers to see. There have been no substantiated reports of mistreatment of poll-watchers.

  • Pennsylvania, Texas, And Minnesota To 'Segregate' Some Votes

    In PA, MN, and TX, federal judges have ordered election officials to "segregate" certain ballots. The vote-by-mail ballots that arrive late are being set aside in case another court invalidates them. Around 127,000 votes that were cast at drive-thru locations in TX during the early voting period. Those ballots have been specially marked for the same reason, says Business Insider. All of these court orders came after extensive litigation and it's not clear how many votes are at risk.
