New York (United States), Apr 28 (EFE) .- (CAMERA: Justin Lane) The federal police of New York on Wednesday searched the apartment of the former mayor of New York and personal lawyer of former President Donald Trump, Rudy Giuliani, and seized of electronic devices, including his mobile phone, local media reported.
In a chat with ABC News Rudy Giuliani said he would not be able to represent President Trump during his second impeachment trial. That's because he himself is a witness in the case. Giuliani appeared with Trump at the January 6 "Save America" rally. At that rally Trump is alleged to have incited an insurrection, and called for "trial by combat." It was widely expected that Giuliani would head up Trump's impeachment legal team.
An associate of Rudy Giuliani allegedly told a former CIA operative seeking a pardon that it would cost $2 million. According to Business Insider, Giuliani disputes the ex-CIA officer's account, saying he doesn't remember the meeting. The personal lawyer to President Donald Trump also told the New York Times that helping someone obtain a pardon would be a conflict of interest. The Times reported that several people with connections to Trump have accepted large sums of money from people seeking pardons. Trump is facing criticism for using pardons primarily to reward his allies, fellow Republican politicians, and people close to his family.
President Donald Trump's personal attorney Rudy Giuliani downplayed the severity of COVID-19. He did so most recently while receiving treatment for the virus at Georgetown University Medical Center. He called into his radio show on Tuesday and falsely claimed that "you can overdo the mask". He also falsely added that the disease is "curable", according to Business Insider. Trump announced via tweet on Sunday that Giuliani had tested positive for coronavirus. Giuliani has very publically refused to wear a mask and neglected to follow public health rules.
