Rio de Janeiro, Apr 26 (EFE) .- (CAMERA: Antonio Lacerda) Rio de Janeiro reopened its beaches and parks Monday while the pandemic shows timid signs of slowing down in Brazil after registering the deadliest month in April since the beginning of the health crisis.
Rio de Janeiro's famed Ipanema beache is deserted, as the city closes its beaches in a bid to slow the spread of coronavirus. Rio's mayor has warned of a "very critical" situation, with 95 percent of intensive care units occupied at public hospitals. IMAGES
