The range of compact 35-series entry-level models to the world of Mercedes-AMG is now complete. The seven-member family extends from the A-Class as a hatchback and notchback (in a long version for China) to the CLA Coupé and Shooting Brake and the seven-seater GLB – and is now rounded off by the new GLA 35 4MATIC (combined fuel consumption 7.5-7.4 l/100 km; combined CO2 emissions 171-170 g/km). The technical basis is already well-proven: the agile high-torque 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo engine delivers 225 kW (306 hp), which is variably distributed to all four wheels via the 8-speed dual-clutch transmission and the all-wheel drive. The dynamic performance (acceleration from 0-100 km/h in 5.2 seconds) and the Performance driving experience are aimed at sporty and lifestyle-oriented target groups.
The second generation of the Mercedes-AMG GT Coupé is the new top model in the Mercedes-AMG range. It combines highly dynamic driving characteristics with increased suitability for everyday use. High-tech components such as the AMG ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL suspension with semi-active roll stabilisation, standard rear-axle steering and active aerodynamics sharpen the active driving profile. The sporty coupé is also taking its output to the road for the first time with the fully variable all-wheel drive AMG Performance 4MATIC+. Combined with the AMG 4.0-litre V8 biturbo engine, this results in a driving experience of the highest level. The exclusive AMG sports car architecture with an elaborate composite aluminium body structure allows the car to be configured as a 2+2 seater. For a sports car in this class, this means a very generous interior for passengers and plenty of space for their luggage. As the fifth independent model series after SLS, the first generation of the two-door GT, GT 4-door Coupé and SL, the new Mercedes-AMG GT Coupé once again demonstrates the high technological expertise of the Affalterbach development team. The vehicle will be available as an AMG GT 63 4MATIC+ Coupé with 430 kW (585 PS) of output in October 2023 and as an AMG GT 55 4MATIC+ Coupé with 350 kW (476 PS) of output in July 2024.

The GLA features powerful overall proportions with short overhangs front and rear. The front section flows over the A-pillar into the visually compact greenhouse. Suggested powerdomes in the bonnet, along with wheels up to 20 inches in size and mounted flush with the outer edge of the body, reinforce the self-assured appearance. The clear contours, with reduced lines and accentuated planes, convey serene sportiness and modernity. Typical of the GLA are the powerful shoulders of the bodywork and the coupé-like lines of the side windows. This contoured side profile gives the car its dynamically elegant flair and offers an interesting play of light and shadows. As in the case of the other Mercedes-Benz SUV models, the radiator grille features distinctive openings along with a single louvre and a central star. In hallmark brand style, the inside of the headlamps is finished to a high level of quality, detail and precision. The side and rear views are characterised by the muscular shoulders of the vehicle. The doors reach over the sills, thereby on the one hand improving ease of access, while at the same time keeping the door frames (and thus also the occupants' trousers) free of dirt and improving impact protection in the event of a side collision. All-round protective cladding adds structure to the overall proportions and emphasises the vehicle's off-road character, as does the simulated underride guard at the front and rear. The rear lights are in two parts, with the reflectors positioned separately in the bumper. The makes it possible to open the load compartment wider, thus also making loading easier. It has the added effect of making the rear end appear wider. Further practical details, which may be optional depending on the equipment line, include the integrated roof rails and the chrome-plated load sill protection.
