CEO Elon Musk hopes the ship will one day colonize Mars and NASA is awaiting a modified version to land humans on the Moon. NASA says it has given the green light to next week's launch of two astronauts aboard a SpaceX vessel -- the first crewed space flight to leave from US soil in nine years. "It it was a very, very clean review," says NASA associate administrator. "There's just the planned for work to get done, there's quite a bit of it, but we are ready to launch on Wednesday May 27th at 4.33pm." SOUNDBITE
