Berlin, May 20 (EFE/EPA).- (Camera: Omer Messinger) Berlin's city government has announced that Tegel will temporarily close in mid-June amid a huge drop in passenger numbers due to the ongoing pandemic. The airport, which used to serve West Berlin before Germany's 1990 reunification, was scheduled to close permanently in October anyway, with the new BER Berlin Brandenburg international airport set to take over its traffic.FOOTAGE OF THE AIRPORT.

Navalny's flight on budget airline Pobeda took off from Berlin's BER airport at 1417 GMT. Navalny risks being arrested on arrival, but told reporters on board that he was "an innocent person". IMAGES
