France to consider local lockdowns amid record Covid cases

France faces the threat of renewed lockdowns to contain the coronavirus threat, as new cases hit a record high of 10,000. FRANCE 24’s Clovis Casali reports that President Emmanuel Macron has convened a special cabinet meeting to discuss the resurgent crisis, warning of 'tough' decisions ahead.

  • Covid-19 cases in South Korea hit record high after major holiday period
