Israel has vaccinated approximately 27% of its citizens, reports Business Insider. Isreal has vaccinated about 2.43 million of its population of 9 million people. More than 550,000 people in the country have already had COVID-19. Israel is nowhere near COVID-19 free by any means. However, both the seven-day and three-day moving averages of new cases have declined. Isreal has vaccinated more people per-capita than any country around the globe.

Canada's largest city is now on lockdown for four weeks. CNN reports officials on Friday shut down Toronto shops, businesses, and restaurants, and banned indoor gatherings. The move comes in an effort to curb a growing spike in novel coronavirus COVID-19 cases. More than 1,400 new coronavirus cases were reported in Ontario on Friday, taking the province's total case since the start of the pandemic beyond 100,000.
