Several impromptu animal shelters have opened in northern California to help people evacuated from areas affected by devastating wildfires to house their pets. Animal shelters at Napa Valley College and Crosswalk Community Church allow pets like cats and dogs to stay with their owners or in a separate room. Over 8,000 firefighters and 120 aircraft continue to battle the blazes.

The Signorello Vineyards Estate, located on the Silverado Trail in Napa Valley, is one of the many wineries that have been ravaged by wildfires affecting California.
Fifteen separate wildfires raging in Northern California have already killed at least 17 people and destroyed over 122,000 acres of land. Tens of thousands have already been evacuated while over 20,000 are on evacuation notice, warned by authorities to pack a ready-to-go bag containing only the utmost essentials, including documents and medicines, in order to be able to leave at a moment's notice. It has already been called one of the deadliest wildfires in the history of the sunshine state.
