Mauritanian opposition figure Moustapha Chafi returns after long exile

Description

After over ten years in exile, Mauritanian politician Moustapha Ould Limam Chafi returns home, where he is welcomed by friends, family and political supporters. Chafi was a strong critic of the former president Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz, in power from 2008 to 2019. Mauritania's justice system annulled the legal proceedings against three opposition figures, including Chafi, one year ago.
