Israel marks 25th anniversary of PM Yitzhak Rabin's assassination

Jerusalem, Oct 29 (EFE/EPA).- Israelis on Thursday lit 25,000 memorial candles to mark the 25th anniversary of the assassination of Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin in November.Rabin was fatally shot by a far-right Jewish law student, who opposed the signing of the Oslo Accords, after attending a peace rally held in Tel Aviv's Kings of Israel Square (now Rabin Square) on November4, 1995.
