Pompeo: 'Reckless' for ICC to authorize Afghanistan war crimes probe

Description

A decision by the Appeals Chamber of the International Criminal Court to authorize an investigation into alleged war crimes in Afghanistan is "reckless," says US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo. "This is a truly breathtaking action by an unaccountable, political institution masquerading as a legal body," Pompeo says during a news conference at the State Department in Washington. SOUNDBITE
