‘Modern-day slavery’ revealed in UK garment factories

Description

An investigation has revealed up to 10,000 people may be working in slave-like conditions in the UK city of Leicester. Thousands of undeclared migrants and immigrants were forced to work during the nation’s lockdown, for less than half the minimum wage, in conditions that rights groups decry as "modern-day slavery".
