Vigil for inmate who died from Coronavirus in New York prison

New York (USA), Apr 23 (EFE/EPA).- (Camera: Justin Lane) People with signs 'Cuomo Le Them Go' and 'No Death Camps in NYS' gather for a vigil organized by justice reform advocates and local faith leaders in response to the recent death of New York State inmate Leonard Carter in front of the Queensboro Correctional Facility where he died in Queens. Carter, who was 60-years-old when died on 14 April 2020 from a coronavirus infection, was weeks away from being released on parole after serving 24 years in prison for second-degree murder and he is one of six inmates in New York State prisons to have died from the virus FOOTAGE OF THE VIGIL.
