Thai authorities incinerate several tons of confiscated marihuana

Ayutthaya, Jun 12 (EFE/EPA).- Authorities in Thailand on Friday were destroying several tons of confiscated marijuana. More than 13 ton of illegal cannabis was destroyed after it was decided to be unusable for research or medical use due to mold and contaminants, according to officials of the Narcotics Control Board.The marijuana were transported early in the morning to Bang Pa-in Industrial Estate in Ayutthaya province.There, the cannabis was destroyed in high-power incinerators at 850 degrees Celsius guarded by armed and masked officers and under the watch of CCTV.
