Indonesia continues disinfection tasks amid pandemic

Jakarta/Aceh, June 17 (EFE/EPA).- The Indonesian authorities continue disinfection efforts throughout the country, such as at the Ragunan Zoo in Jakarta or at the primary education schools in Aceh, north of the Indonesian island of Sumatra, to prevent the spread of coronavirus.The Indonesian government has begun to ease some of the restrictions imposed by COVID-19 and has imposed a new set of regulations known as the 'new normal', to be implemented in stages.Indonesia has recorded 40,400 coronavirus cases, with 2,231 deaths, according to Johns Hopkins University.(Camera: MAST IRHAM / HOTLI SIMANJUNTAK) FOOTAGE SHOWS STAFF DISINFECTING JAKARTA'S RAGUNAN ZOO AND STUDENTS GETTING TESTED FOR COVID-19 IN A BOARDING SCHOOL IN ACEH, INDONESIA.
