New York, June 14 (EFE / EPA) .- Thousands of people took to the streets of New York on Sunday in several peaceful marches to protest against police brutality and to ask for changes in the department, which have already begun in this state with the signing of various laws that seek transparency and accountability.One of the marches calling for an end to racism and police brutality against minorities toured the streets of El Barrio, the iconic Puerto Rican neighborhood of eastern Harlem, and was joined by African-Americans from West Harlem and residents of the Upper Manhattan community, home to Dominicans in this city.
