Bogota's Fallen Lord of Monserrate makes pilgrimage through city to help end pandemic

Bogota, Aug 9 (EFE).- The image of the Fallen Lord of Monserrate on Sunday began a pilgrimage around Bogota from the Primatial Cathedral to unite followers in prayer and to ask for the end of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has left the country with 376,870 confirmed cases and 12,540 deaths. The archbishop of Bogota, Jose Luis Rueda, said the image which is usually in the church on Monserrate Hill, in the eastern mountains of the city, will be taken to the different basilicas of the Colombian capital for a week.
