Manila eases COVID-19 confinement measures

Manila, Aug 19 (EFE/EPA).- The Philippines cities of Manila, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna and Rizal, which add up to 27 million inhabitants, began to resume their activities Wednesday after President Rodrigo Duterte announced on Monday the easing of confinement due to COVID-19.The Philippines reported so far 169,213 positive cases of coronavirus, of which 53,665 are active, while 2,687 people have lost their lives.     Depok, Sep 30 (EFE/EPA).- The street monkey performances still maintain their popularity in several parts of Indonesia, especially after the government lowered the level of Enforcement of Restrictions on Community Activities (PPKM) in a number of areas during the COVID-19 pandemic. A street monkey performance, known as 'Topeng Monyet' or 'Monkey Mask' is a popular form of cheap entertainment in Indonesia, especially on the island of Java.
