San Francisco, Apr 16 (EFE/EPA).- Carbon Health is offering a mobile COVID-19 testing service on a trailer to anyone who has symptoms or believes they have been infected. The results take 15 minutes, and patients that have been tested will be notified through an app. The mobile testing will make stops through the San Francisco Bay Area. A new app launched by the Washington State Department of Health. It was developed in conjunction with the University of Washington. The app seeks to notify users if they have been exposed to COVID-19. It is a voluntary, data-secure app and is seen as a complementary tool for testing and contact tracing. The app launched Monday as COVID-19 cases remained high in Washington state. State hospitals are nearly running out of capacity, according to reports at Business Insider.
Legendary Indian actor Soumitra Chatterjee has died at the age of 85. CNN reports Chatterjee died at Belle Vue Clinic in Kolkata on Sunday, of complications related to COVID-19. The famous protégé of Oscar-winning director Satyajit Ray had been in the hospital since October 6th, under the care of a team of 15 of West Bengal's best doctors. An accomplished poet, playwright, and theater actor, Chatterjee's career spanned six decades and 300 movies. Messages from prominent leaders and celebrities came flooding in. India's prime minister Narendra Modi called Chatterjee's death a 'colossal loss.'
