Seoul, Oct 8 (EFE/EPA).- Samsung Electronics said Friday it expects to register a 15.8 trillion won ($ 13.3 billion) operating profit in the year’s third quarter, representing 27.9 percent more year-on-year thanks to the continued good performance of its chip branch.This operating result, though below analysts' estimates, would also represent an advance of 25.7 percent compared to April-June, according to the financial projection of the South Korean technology giant published Friday.The company based in Suwon (south of Seoul) also said it expects to have a turnover in the July-September period of about 73 trillion won.
