Stepanakert (Nagorno Karabaj), 14 Oct (EFE), (CAMERA: Pablo González).- The market of Stepanakert, capital of Nagorno Karabaj, until recently full of noise, is closed because of the war. There are hardly any sellers or buyers. The market used to be crowded before September 27, when war broke out between Armenian and Azerbaijani forces in the self-proclaimed republic of Nagorno-Karabakh. Now the only thing that reminds one of a market are the industrial buildings and the alleys that house the stalls and stores. The half-empty vegetable and fruit crates have been covered with blue plastic sheeting and the red umbrellas are closed.FOOTAGE OF THE CLOSED MARKET
