The United States calls the death of six-year-old Gaza girl Hind Rajab, who days earlier had pleaded for help, "heartbreaking" and urges a prompt Israeli investigation. "It is just a devastating account, a heartbreaking account, for this child, and of course there have been thousands of other children who have died as a result of this conflict," State Department spokesman Matthew Miller tells reporters, adding, "We have asked the Israeli authorities to investigate this incident on an urgent basis." The UN human rights chief Volker Türk decries the lack of accountability for the 2020 Beirut port blast, urging an international probe into the massive explosion that destroyed swathes of the city, in a speech to the United Nations Human Rights Council. "It may therefore be time to consider an international fact-finding mission to look into human rights violations related to this tragedy," says Volker Türk. SOUNDBITE
