US election campaign seems remote to people along Mexican border

San Diego/Nogales/Yuma/El Paso, Oct 8 (EFE).- Residents on the US border with Mexico feel forgotten, abandoned and stigmatized by politicians in Washington who they see as utterly ignorant of their reality. So it's hardly surprising that national politics are not a frequent topic of conversation, despite the impact decisions made in the White House and Congress have on the people living along the boundary that stretches 3,145km (1,954mi) from the Pacific to the Gulf of Mexico.(CAMERA: Alex Segura)

Trump To Lift Covid-Related Travel Restrictions

President Donald Trump is expected to lift coronavirus-related travel restrictions. It is believed he will do so starting on January 26th. This is nearly a week after he leaves office, a White House official said Monday. Officials said Trump is expected to lift restrictions that cover much of Europe and Brazil. Will Trump Punish Pence?

On Wednesday, Vice President Mike Pence publicly broke with President Donald Trump. Pence said he cannot submit to demands he overthrow the results of the election. CNN reports Pence formalized his views in a letter to lawmakers. He said he has no "unilateral authority to decide presidential contests" and could not change the results of the election. But Trump is consumed with conspiracies and unsound legal advice. Insiders say Trump is ready to unleash his rage against Pence. But, there are no details about what Trump might do.
