New Poll: Trump Down By 16

There is less than a month to go before Election Day. CNN reports that President Donald Trump has hit a new low in the polls. The President trails former Vice President Joe Biden by 16 points. That's the biggest gap of any CNN poll conducted in this entire election. That's not the worst news in the latest CNN/SSRS poll. 90% of likely voters in the CNN poll say that their minds are made up when it comes to which candidate they will be voting for this fall. Election Day is November 3rd, 2020.

    Making multiple false statements about this year's election, President Donald Trump has repeatedly called on his supporters to carefully watch polling locations. I am urging my supporters to go into the polls and watch very carefully, because that's what has to happen. I am urging them to do it. US President Donald Trump Now, Business Insider reports it seems a former Republican lawmaker in North Carolina took Trump's exhortations a bit too much to heart. Former Wake County commissioner Gary Pendleton was charged with a misdemeanor for allegedly assaulting a poll worker on Friday. Pendleton said he was 'observing' at the polling location in Wake Forest at the direction of the county Republican Party. He tried to enter the polling place thirty minutes before it officially opened. After security refused him entry, he tried to get around the worker. When the worker blocked him, Pendleton pushed the worker back. He was cited a Class 3 misdemeanor.

And according to Business Insider, a thousand current and former CDC officers have put their names to a letter criticizing the politicization of the health agency. The letter comes after a Kaiser poll revealed 62% of adults reported last month they fear 'political pressure' will rush a coronavirus vaccine. In September, Trump administration officials reportedly delayed CDC reports that were not in line with its politics. The White House also planted two political operatives, with no public health experience, in the CDC to keep the agency's scientists on message.
