A search team from Russia's ministry of emergency situations are at work on the site of the crash of a passenger plane. A search team recovered the bodies of nine people on Wednesday after the plane crashed in Russia's remote far eastern Kamchatka peninsula. The An-26 plane flying from Kamchatka's main city of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky to the coastal town of Palana had 28 people on board, and disappeared and crashed on Tuesday. IMAGES
A search operation is underway at the crash site of the Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 737 near Bishoftu, a town some 60 kilometres southeast of Addis Ababa. The aircraft crashed minutes after an early-morning takeoff, killing all eight crew and 149 passengers on board, including tourists, business travellers, and at least one delegate to a UN meeting. The black box of the TransAsia Airways flight that crashed into a river in Taipei, Taiwan on Wednesday morning has been found. The death-toll has risen to 25, and 16 people are still missing.The ill-fated TransAsia Airways flight had five crew members, 22 Taiwanese passengers and 31 Chinese passengers on board.
