With only branches, residents of Evia island in Greece fight desperately to control wildfires that have charred vast areas of pine forest, destroyed homes and forced tourists and locals to flee. IMAGES
At least 150 houses have been destroyed by a raging fire that surrounded a monastery and a dozen villages on the Greek island of Evia, just one of over 100 blazes burning in the heatwave-hit country. Firefighters say the blaze on the island of rolling hills with little visibility is hard to control. IMAGES
