The new Porsche Mission E Cross Turismo Design

Description

"With the Mission E Cross Turismo, Porsche unveiled the concept study of an electrically driven Cross Utility Vehicle (CUV) at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show. This car has many talents and is aimed at people who like to spend their free time travelling, playing sport and pursuing other outdoor activities. Thanks to all-wheel drive, every ski slope is easy to reach, while the flexible interior creates space for all kinds of sports equipment and modern load-carrying systems facilitate the transport of surfboards or a Porsche e-bike. The strengths of the four-door four-seater include an emotional design with striking off-road elements as well as an innovative display and operating concept with touchscreen and eye-tracking control. Measuring 4.95 metres in length, the concept vehicle has all-wheel drive and an 800-volt architecture, prepared for connection to the fast charging network. It can also be charged by induction, at a charging station or using the Porsche home energy storage system. The road-ready Mission E Cross Turismo builds on the Mission E study Porsche demonstrated at the 2015 International Motor Show (IAA) and uses elements that are close to series production."

  • The Porsche Mission E Cross Turismo

Porsche has unveiled a surprise concept car at the Geneva Motor Show, in the form of the jacked-up Mission E Cross Turismo. Seemingly inspired by sister-brand Audi’s range of Allroad models, the raised estate car is said to be a ‘concept study’ that could eventually join the forthcoming Mission E saloon in Porsche’s electric car range. The all-electric, all-wheel-drive design study is a four-door, four-seat estate car with raised suspension and subtle body cladding. The shape is not dissimilar to the existing Panamera Sport Turismo, though the styling sits much closer to the previously-revealed Mission E saloon concept. It gets the same headlamps with four-spot LED daytime running lights, as well as similar vents and body creases.

  • The new Porsche Taycan Turbo Cross Turismo Design Preview in Oak Green

Porsche has given the Taycan a particularly extensive update. The new versions have more power, more range, accelerate quicker and charge faster with greater stability. Style Porsche has also sharpened the design and more strongly differentiated the Turbo models. All Taycan versions feature an even more extensive standard equipment list and come with the latest generation of the Porsche Driver Experience with an improved display and control concept. All three body variants will feature the numerous modifications from the date of launch – the Taycan sports sedan, the versatile Taycan Cross Turismo, which is available with an off-road package, and the sporting-yet-practical Taycan Sport Turismo. In each case, four powertrain options are available, with rear- and all-wheel drive variants. The revised versions will arrive at Porsche Centres from the spring of 2024.All updated models accelerate much faster than their predecessors. Two examples from both ends of the portfolio: as sports sedans, the Taycan and Taycan Turbo S reach the 100 km/h mark from a standstill in just 4.8 and 2.4 seconds respectively. This makes them 0.6 and 0.4 seconds faster than their predecessors. With the new push-to-pass function in the Sport Chrono package, a boost of up to 70 kW, depending on the model, can be called upon for 10 seconds at the touch of a button. The increased acceleration rates are generally the result of higher system output. For example, the base Taycan delivers 60 kW more than before. In the Taycan Turbo S, it’s an additional 140 kW with Launch Control. This increases the system output of the top model to 700 kW/952 PS.
