Seoul, Sep 28 (EFE/EPA).- South Korea’s Joint Chief of Staff confirmed North Korea launched a single-projectile short-range missile Tuesday into the Sea of Japan.The launch occurred in the country’s east at about 6.40 am on Tuesday (21.40 GMT on Monday), triggering an emergency meeting of the National Security Committee "to analyze the launch of the short-range missile." and "discuss countermeasures," the government said.Seoul said it regretted the launch came at a sensitive time for political stability on the Korean peninsula and is analyzing more details about the test and "its intentions".
