Journey beneath the waves and explore Soviet time warp off Crimea

Description

Roughly 50 sculptures and busts of historical figures including Lenin, Stalin and Marx lie some 12 metres beneath the surface of the Black Sea, off the coast of Tarkhankutsky National Park in western Crimea. Said to have been founded shortly after the collapse of the USSR, the underwater museum also features a mini Eiffel Tower and Tower Bridge. Factories and other organisations supposedly gifted many of the busts of Soviet leaders found at the site.
