Whether they left because they resigned or were fired, the list of former Trump officials who say they'll be voting for Democratic opponent Joe Biden is growing. According to Business Insider, some have joined anti-Trump political coalitions such as The Lincoln Project, Republican Voters Against Trump, and others. Hoping to sway the votes of independent, undecided, and moderate Republicans, they've spent millions on campaign ads to oust Trump from the White House. Former DHS chief of staff Miles Taylor called working under Trump 'terrifying," saying many things Trump wanted the department to do were illegal. Former White House communications director, Anthony Scaramucci, says he'll be voting for Biden. And former national security adviser John Bolton won't be voting for Trump or Biden. Instead, he'll write in the name of a conservative candidate.

The White House is defending President Joe Biden's comment that he agrees Russian leader Vladimir Putin is a "killer." When asked by a reporter whether there was any regret over Biden's comment in an ABC interview, Press Secretary Jen Psaki responds; "No, the president gave a direct answer to a direct question." US President Donald J. Trump has repeatedly undermined Dr. Anthony Fauci's assessments and guidance about the coronavirus pandemic. Now, Business Insider reports Fauci admitted Tuesday that his experience serving in the Trump administration has been 'somewhat awkward.' It's not a happy day when you have to get up in front of national TV and contradict something that the President of the United States says. I take no pleasure in that at all. The resumes of former White House staff usually go straight to the top of the pile when it comes to getting top jobs. After all, they've had the unparalleled experience of years of dealing with some of the toughest crises in government. But according to Business Insider, Trump administration staffers aren't finding such a post-POTUS cushy landing. As businesses begin to shun Trump enterprises, one PR recruiter said they had received inquiries from at least 15 people from the White House looking for jobs. The headhunter took on six people as clients, but none were able to even secure an interview with corporations they had applied to. It's just very hard. According to Business Insider, aides say that President Donald Trump was detached, "mentally unreachable," and and ignored their pleas during the storming of the US Capitol building on Wednesday. An official told The Washington Post that the president has "this notion that he's been treated unfairly." People close to Trump said that they were "certain the president wanted this and is enjoying it." The violent attack forced members of Congress to hide and flee temporarily from the Capitol, while in the process of certifying Joe Biden's election victory. Trump stayed in the White House and defended his supporters, while refusing to condemn the violence. Trump's aides urged him to issue a strong statement against the rioters' violence, but he was "ignoring these entreaties." An official described Trump as "a total monster," and others were "avoiding him like the plague."
