The Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio has set the new benchmark for a production SUV at Germany’s legendary Nürburgring circuit, lapping the epic 12.9 mile Nordschleife in a record 7 minutes 51.7 seconds. This new time is a full eight seconds faster than the previous production SUV record. Italian driver Fabio Francia set the blistering lap record, the same driver who previously set the fastest Nürburgring track record for four-door saloons in the Giulia Quadrifoglio with a lap time of just 7 minutes and 32 seconds. Alfa Romeo’s first ever production SUV, the Stelvio Quadrifoglio stands out thanks to its distinctive Italian style, advanced technology, innovative engines and excellent power-to-weight ratio.
Giulia Quadrifoglio 'NRING' and Stelvio Quadrifoglio 'NRING' Nürburgring Limited Editions celebrate the historic bond of supreme success linking Alfa Romeo to the legendary German circuit. The first are the exclusive anniversary models Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio 100° Anniversario and Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio 100° Anniversario. Both are limited to 100 copies each. The Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio is equipped with a V6 bi-turbo petrol engine: its 375 kW (510 hp) provides acceleration from a standing start to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds and a top speed of 283 km/h. This agile handling is due to the active suspension with electronic shock absorber control (AlfaTM Active Suspension), the AlfaTM D.N.A. Pro Dynamic Driving Control system, enhanced by the "Race" performance mode, the Brembo high-performance braking system, the AlfaTM Q4 electronically controlled four-wheel drive, the ideal weight distribution of almost 50/50 between front and rear axles and the extremely direct steering. Sports seats upholstered in a combination of leather and Alcantara and an eight-speed automatic transmission that allows gear changes using paddles on the steering wheel further enhance the driving pleasure. Shortly after its premiere, the Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio set a lap record for production SUVs on the legendary Nordschleife of the Nürburgring.
