NASA Launches 20 Mice Into Space On SpaceX

Description

According to a report by Reuters, NASA just launched 20 mice into space while leaving their identical twins back on Earth, to help scientists determine how the mouse microbiome is affected by space travel and life in space. On Friday, a SpeceX Dragon blasted off from Florida carrying the mice, who are expected to arrive at the International Space Station on Monday. The mission is part of a study on how Earth-dweller's guts and sleep schedules are affected by the stress of space. Ten of the mice will reportedly remain on the ISS for just 30 days, while the remaining ten will spend a record-breaking three months in space.
