Michigan Governor Rick Snyder asks that the water crisis in Flint, Michigan be declared a federal emergency, after lead was found in the drinking water of the Detroit suburb. Diane Hodges reports.
Former Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder has been criminally charged with willful neglect of duty. The charges come in connection with the Flint water crisis. Former Michigan health director Nick Lyons is another official also expected to face charges. The Flint water crisis started in 2014, when the city decided to switch to a new water supply to save costs. Business Insider reports the water supply the city moved to use, however, was contaminated with lead and other toxins.
President Donald Trump claims his campaign staff had to move the site of his rally to comply with Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf's COVID-19 protocols. At a rally in Allentown on Tuesday, Trump fumed about it to his supporters and issued a none-too-subtle threat to the state's Democratic governor. According to CNN, Trump threatened to withhold federal aid or other assistance the next time Pennsylvania needs it because Gov. Wolf inconvenienced him. I'll remember it, Tom.
